This community, made up of 72 families, has decided to bet on ecotourism to protect the famous centenary Kewinas (Polylepis besseri) forests. The site is located 25 kilometers from the Tiquipaya urban center, in the Quillacollo province.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2022, the community members have implemented the &#8220;La Phia Agroecological Tourist Circuit&#8221;, which includes walks through ancient trees forests, boat rides, organic orchards, and ancestral medicine tours.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Here we share a list of the community&#8217;s tourist attractions and services:<\/p><div id=\"lareg-4132426415\" class=\"lareg-contenido\" style=\"margin-right: 20px;\"><img src=\"https:\/\/www.laregion.bo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Apoyanos-2026.jpg\" alt=\"\"  srcset=\"https:\/\/www.laregion.bo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Apoyanos-2026.jpg 268w, https:\/\/www.laregion.bo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Apoyanos-2026-134x300.jpg 134w, https:\/\/www.laregion.bo\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Apoyanos-2026-188x420.jpg 188w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 268px) 100vw, 268px\" class=\"no-lazyload\" width=\"268\" height=\"600\"  style=\"display: inline-block;\" \/><\/div>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Eucalyptus &#8220;El Jefe&#8221;:<\/strong>It houses three large ancient trees, the third being considered the community guardian, with 45-meters height and 2.5-meters thick in radius.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Its location:<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/PVtqjJLnMHm3kwXQ6\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/PVtqjJLnMHm3kwXQ6\"><u>https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/PVtqjJLnMHm3kwXQ6<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Kewinas Forest:<\/strong> It is the largest in Cochabamba and has more than 69 years of age groves and the oldest tree with more than 100 years. It is propitious for wild fauna observation such as foxes and eagles.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Location:<a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=-17.281874,-66.237937&amp;entry=gps\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=-17.281874,-66.237937&amp;entry=gps\"><u>https:\/\/maps.google.com\/?q=-17.281874,-66.237937&amp;entry=gps<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quri Allana Sinkhole:<\/strong> It is a natural mystical cavern, approximately 50-meters deep. The trail that leads to this place has a wide medicinal plants variety, such as Muna (Minthostachys mollis), which is used to treat stomach pain and altitude sickness.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>Location:<a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/hzNX1dYvQzM9cjLHA\"> <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/hzNX1dYvQzM9cjLHA\"><u>https:\/\/goo.gl\/maps\/hzNX1dYvQzM9cjLHA<\/u><\/a><\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Quri Allana Mayu River:<\/strong> It is another natural attraction in order to enjoy crystal clear waters and exuberant vegetation. In addition, it is at the community&#8217;s crops irrigation source.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>La Phia viewpoint:<\/strong> It is a pleasant place located on a hill in the community at 3,312 meters above sea level, from this place you can enjoy the natural panoramic view and also you can see Cochabamba city.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>Agroforestry Orchards:<\/strong> In this place, the community members produce apples with organic fertilizers and artisanal techniques.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Travel services:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Currently all services are communal, it has people trained in food handling, guidance, transportation, and tourist attention.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Food: It offers a variety of dishes, but its specialty is llama pampaku. Visits can be scheduled for any week day, prior coordination with the respective authorities and community involved.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Way to get there:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hiring a tourism service or package from an agency or on your own.
