From the Takesi pass height to the hot and humid Yungas of La Paz department, this route promises an
unforgettable experience. Local residents who manage the ” the Takesi Community Integrated Tourism”
project will take you on a trek through pre-Columbian trails that pass through their communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The adventure begins in the Choquekota community, located at 4,100 meters above sea level, from there
a hike to the Takesi pass located at 4,600 meters above sea level, and the Takesi hill top, which exceeds
5,000 meters above sea level. As you hike on this road, the climate becomes warmer, and you go through
towns such as Cacapi, Chojlla and El Valle, until you reach your final destination in Yanacachi and Chawara,
in the Yungas region, La Paz department, where the climate is tropical and fairly humid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The tour also offers gastronomic experiences and agrotourism practices in which the community members
share part of their daily life closely with their visitors.<\/p>
